Paver Reset & Repair — Sunken, Shifting & Uneven Pavers

Sunken spots by the downspout, a wave across the driveway, joints that lost their sand years ago — paver surfaces rarely need replacing, they need resetting. We lift the affected stones, fix the base problem that caused the settling, and relay your existing pavers so the repair disappears. It's a fraction of replacement cost, and it's the kind of small job we're happy to price fast.

A real one, from a Lower Mainland backyard: rows drifting out of line, joints opening up, a cracked paver mid-field, and the border sinking into the lawn. This is what a failed base looks like from above — and every paver here is still reusable once the base under it is rebuilt.

Moss-filled joints spreading apart, a wavy surface where the bedding sand has washed through, edges heaving where the restraint let go, and a cracked transition at the street. Twenty years of Lower Mainland rain will do this to any paver surface that isn't re-sanded — and it's all fixable without buying new stone.

The fix: we lift the affected pavers, rebuild and re-compact the bedding layer, and re-lay the original stones. Most sunken or shifting areas are a base problem, not a paver problem — the pavers themselves are usually reusable.

Joints are cleaned out, refilled with polymeric sand, and activated so they cure firm. Locks the pavers together, keeps weeds and ants out, and sheds water — the single best maintenance step for an aging paver surface.
