These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website operated by Carver Lloyd, doing business as Daedalus Contracting ("Daedalus Contracting," "we," "us," or "our"), located at https://daedaluscontracting.com, and any services, forms, or communications provided through this website. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada and the United States where noted.

1. Use of This Website

This website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate estimate requests for hardscaping and outdoor construction services in British Columbia's Lower Mainland. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of this website by, any third party.

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on this website
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of this website or its infrastructure
  • Use this website to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from this website without our express written consent
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or redistribute content from this website for commercial purposes without our express written consent

2. Estimate Requests & Project Inquiries

Submitting an estimate request through our website does not create a binding contract or obligation on either party. Estimates are provided for informational purposes and are subject to on-site verification, material pricing at the time of project start, and other factors.

Final project pricing, scope of work, timelines, and payment terms will be outlined in a separate written agreement or contract between you and Carver Lloyd prior to any work commencing.

By submitting an estimate request, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

3. Communications Consent

By submitting a form on this website and providing your contact information, you consent to being contacted by Daedalus Contracting by phone, email, and/or text message (SMS) regarding your inquiry. This consent applies to all contact methods you provide.

SMS/text messaging is governed by the specific terms in Section 5 below. You may withdraw your consent to communications at any time by contacting us or by replying STOP to any text message.

4. Pricing & Cost Information

Any pricing, cost ranges, or budget estimates published on this website (including in blog posts and service descriptions) are provided for general educational purposes only. They are not quotes or guaranteed pricing. Actual project costs depend on factors including:

  • Site conditions, access, and terrain
  • Current material and labour costs
  • Project scope, complexity, and design choices
  • Municipal permit requirements and engineering needs
  • Soil conditions and drainage requirements

All pricing on this website reflects general market conditions in BC's Lower Mainland at the time of publication and may change without notice.

5. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

This section constitutes the SMS/Text Messaging Terms of Service for the Daedalus Contracting SMS Alerts program. By opting in to receive text messages from Daedalus Contracting, you agree to the terms in this section. These terms supplement our Privacy Policy.

5.1 Consent & Opt-In

When submitting an estimate request or inquiry form on our website, you will be asked to provide consent to receive text messages via separate, unchecked checkboxes. By checking the applicable box(es) and submitting the form, you provide your prior express written consent to receive automated text messages (including messages sent via autodialer) from Daedalus Contracting at the mobile phone number you provided.

Non-Marketing SMS Consent: By checking this box, I consent to receive non-marketing text messages from Daedalus Contracting about estimate follow-ups, appointment scheduling, and project coordination. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out.

Marketing SMS Consent: By checking this box, I provide my prior express written consent to receive marketing and promotional text messages (including via autodialer) from Daedalus Contracting at the phone number provided, including special offers, discounts, and service updates. Consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out.

5.2 Types of Messages

You may receive the following types of text messages:

  • Estimate and consultation follow-ups
  • Appointment confirmations and scheduling updates
  • Project status notifications and progress updates
  • Responses to your inquiries
  • Special offers, discounts, and promotional updates (marketing consent only)

5.3 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your project inquiry and ongoing communications. You will not receive more messages than necessary for the purpose of your inquiry, project coordination, or marketing preferences.

5.4 Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Daedalus Contracting is not responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier.

5.5 Opt-Out (STOP)

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. You will no longer receive text messages from us unless you re-subscribe. We will process your opt-out request within 10 business days.

5.6 Help (HELP)

For help with text messages, reply HELP or INFO to any message, or contact us using the information in Section 15 below.

5.7 Carrier Liability

Carriers (including but not limited to T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Bell, Rogers, Telus, and all other mobile carriers) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5.8 No Third-Party Sharing

We will not share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in consent, or any information collected through the SMS opt-in process with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your information may only be shared with service providers who assist us in delivering messages (such as our CRM platform), solely for the purpose of fulfilling the communications you have consented to.

5.9 Consent Not Required for Purchase

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Daedalus Contracting. You may decline SMS consent and still request an estimate or engage our services.

5.10 Quiet Hours

We will not send marketing text messages before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM in your local time zone, in accordance with TCPA regulations.

5.11 CASL Compliance (Canada)

For recipients in Canada, our SMS messaging program complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Commercial electronic messages are only sent with your express consent. Every message identifies the sender (Daedalus Contracting), includes our contact information, and provides a clear way to unsubscribe. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or contacting us directly.

5.12 TCPA Compliance (United States)

For recipients in the United States, our SMS messaging program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). We obtain prior express written consent before sending marketing text messages via autodialer. Prior express consent is obtained for informational and transactional messages. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, blog posts, and design elements — is the property of Carver Lloyd or its content creators and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.
